The LUWASH Project aims to help strengthen governance and institutional arrangements to improve the availability and sustainable management of safe and climate resilient water and sanitation services to the 24 million people of Lagos, Nigeria by; improving public and private service providers performance; increasing access to sustainable water services; increasing household access to safe sanitation and improving the quality of source water. WSUP Advisory, as part of a consortium led by Chemonics with a focus on: strengthening policy, institutions and regulation (PIR) for water supply in Lagos; designing and overseeing the City-Wide Service Delivery Assessment for both water and sanitation based on WSUPs city wide survey methodology; supporting change management and implementing performance improvement plans (PIPs) for strengthening operations and improving efficiency of Lagos Water Corporation (LWC) and supporting LWC and private operators to deliver water services to low-income customers across the city.
