Uttam Saha

Country Manager, Bangladesh

With over 22 years of experience, including a decade in leadership roles, Uttam has expertise in project and program management, partnership building, and strategic leadership. A holder of a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology, complemented by certifications in project management and urban poverty reduction, Uttam is equipped to lead urban water, sanitation, waste management, and renewable energy initiatives. In addition, he has a good understanding of WASH governance and its context in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Rose Amuso Ayee

Finance Officer

Rose is a highly experienced accountant with deep expertise in financial management within the non-governmental organization (NGO) sector. She holds an Associate Degree in Accounting from Uganda Christian University (formerly Uganda Catholic Social Training Centre) and a Master’s Degree in Finance and Administrative Management from NIBM, with a specialization in Financial Reporting and Risk Management. Rose also holds partial accreditation from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and has continued to build her expertise through advanced studies in Digital Finance. She has completed numerous USAID- and DFID-sponsored trainings designed specifically for non-profit financial management, further strengthening her ability to navigate the complex financial and compliance requirements of development organizations. With a strong foundation in financial reporting, risk management, and donor compliance, Rose brings a strategic and solutions-oriented approach to addressing the unique financial challenges faced by NGOs.

Moin Uddin Tanvir

Field Engineer

Moin Uddin Tanvir is a dedicated and results-driven WASH and infrastructure development professional with over five years of experience in improving water, sanitation, and hygiene services in urban low-income communities. As a Field Engineer at WSUP, he leads the planning, coordination, and implementation of WASH block projects, ensuring technical precision, community involvement, and long-term sustainability. He holds a Master’s in Environmental Science and Management and a Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering. His career includes impactful roles with Islamic Relief Bangladesh and UNDP, where he contributed to infrastructure development and humanitarian response efforts. Moin brings strong technical skills in project design, BOQ preparation, AutoCAD, and monitoring and evaluation, complemented by training in safeguarding, data protection, and participatory development. He is passionate about advancing public health through sustainable and inclusive WASH solutions, combining hands-on field expertise with a commitment to community empowerment.

Abdullah Al Mamun

WASH Lead

Mr. Mamun brings over 16 years of experience spanning commercial and international development organisations, with a strong focus on WASH and waste management. He has successfully managed numerous projects funded by leading donors, including USAID, UNICEF, GIZ, WASTE Netherlands, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, DFID, RVO Netherlands, ILO, among others. With deep technical expertise, Mr. Mamun has designed and implemented pro-poor, market-led WASH initiatives, demonstrating scalable solutions for urban low-income communities. He has played a pivotal role in supporting several Bangladeshi cities to establish functional public-private partnerships (PPPs) for delivering integrated WASH services to underserved and slum areas. One of his key technical innovations—the Portable Up-flow Faecal Sludge Treatment Plant—has been recognized as a highly appropriate solution for faecal sludge management (FSM) in refugee and emergency settings. Outside of work, Mr. Mamun enjoys listening to music, watching films, and exploring the outdoors on his motorbike.

Md. Moshiur Rahman

Assistant Project Officer

Moshiur is a Civil Engineer with over seven years of experience in WASH, shelter, and climate-resilient infrastructure. He brings technical expertise in structural design, project management, BoQ preparation, and installation of water systems for underserved urban communities. Previously, he contributed to climate-resilient infrastructure projects under UNDP’s LIUPC Programme and supervised infrastructure works for the World Bank’s MGSP Project. Moshiur holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Diploma in Civil Engineering, and has completed extensive training in WASH, disaster resilience, and community development. He is dedicated to advancing sustainable urban growth and inclusive development through engineering innovation and community-focused design.

SM Tamzid Al Fatah

International Communications Officer

Tamzid joins WSUP as the International Communications Officer, bringing a strong track record in multimedia storytelling, strategic communications, and donor-focused content. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Media Studies and Journalism from the University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh. Over the years, he has worked with a range of organisations, from INGOs to private businesses. Most recently, he led communications for a USAID-funded agricultural development project, sharing stories of farmers from vulnerable communities across Bangladesh who improved their lives through knowledge and determination. His experience also includes documentary filmmaking and managing campaigns for development and advocacy. Besides work, Tamzid is a dedicated movie buff with soft spots for Sci-Fi and drama. He claims to have watched more cinemas than he’s looked at the sky.

Philippah Sampson

International People & Support Assistant

Philippah joins us from Solidaridad West Africa and Neekuba Company Limited, where she contributed to advancing HR systems, streamlining administration, and supporting international operations. Her understanding of organisational efficiency and people-first processes will be invaluable in supporting our internal support infrastructure. Outside work, Philippah enjoys watching movies and spending time with friends and family.

Sheila Sintim

Administrative Assistant

Sheila Sintim is the Administrative Assistant at WSUP Ghana, providing essential operational and administrative support to ensure the smooth running of the office. She strengthens team efficiency through her organisational skills, attention to detail, and coordination of internal communication. Passionate about WSUP’s mission, Sheila contributes to the successful delivery of water and sanitation projects that improve lives across Ghana.

Prosper A.B. Ayande

Business Development Lead

Prosper A.B. Ayande is a seasoned Business Development professional at over a decade of experience in driving strategic growth and partnerships in the WASH sector. His expertise lies in developing and implementing business strategies that enhance operational efficiency and expand market reach for water and sanitation services. Prosper holds an Executive MBA and advanced certifications in monitoring and evaluation, reinforcing his data-driven approach to decision-making. He has successfully forged collaborations with key stakeholders, resulting in innovative solutions that benefit underserved communities. Prosper is committed to advancing WSUP's mission of improving urban water and sanitation access through sustainable business practices.

Keya Audhikary

Training Officer

Keya specialises in climate change adaptation, resilience building, and WASH capacity development. She designs and facilitates training programmes, develops behaviour change materials, and strengthens the capacity of stakeholders to build water resilience in low-income urban communities. Her previous roles include developing People’s Adaptation Plans at Save the Children, supporting youth and women’s climate leadership at ActionAid, monitoring and evaluation at Uttaran, and research in wastewater treatment. Keya holds both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s in Environmental Science & Technology from Jashore University of Science & Technology. She is passionate about advancing inclusive climate solutions, promoting women’s leadership, and driving sustainable urban development.

Mohammad Habibur Rahman

Finance Manager, Bangladesh and Zambia

Habibur is a seasoned finance and administration professional with 25 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, and organisational leadership. Based in Dhaka, he manages WSUP’s finance functions in both Bangladesh and Zambia. His career includes senior roles in national and international development organisations, notably as Deputy Director of Finance and Accounts at People-Oriented Program Implementation (POPI) and as Management Accountant at Practical Action. Most recently, he was Manager of Business Administration at Swisscontact, overseeing finance, HR, procurement, contracting, and logistics for the large-scale PRABRIDDHI project. Habibur is recognised for his integrity, leadership, and results-driven approach in managing complex development operations across Bangladesh.

Mohammad Rakib Hossain Khan

Technical Specialist

Rakib is a technical specialist with over seven years of experience leading WASH and infrastructure projects in both development and humanitarian contexts. At WSUP Bangladesh, he manages the Birmingham City University–funded Solar Powered Drinking Water Project. He has previously worked with iDE, ICRC, and BRAC, delivering large-scale initiatives in water supply, sanitation, medical waste management, and hospital infrastructure upgrades. His work spans emergency responses—such as the Rohingya refugee crisis—to long-term development in Bangladesh’s coastal regions, where he partnered with the private sector to expand affordable drinking water access through market-based solutions. Rakib holds an MSc in Environmental Science and Management from the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) and a BSc in Civil Engineering from CUET. He is a member of the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB), and is passionate about inclusive WASH solutions, public–private partnerships, and sustainable urban services.
